• On Monday, I shared why I didn't attend my 10th high school reunion. Facebook may have been to blame.
• On Tuesday, I discussed why nonprofits who use social media simply because it's free and everyone else is might be spinning their wheels. After all, those are the same two reasons most of us use port-o-johns.
• On Wednesday, I challenged my readers to not just find their one thing, but to learn how to find their one thing.

• Here is a thoroughly researched article on who's using social media and what that means for those of us helping companies and nonprofits use it. Of particular interest is the part about what needs certain social networks fill in our lives.
• Bill Maher thinks that we as Americans need to toughen up a little bit. Otherwise, he says, we don't deserve the bald eagle.
• Seth Godin asks how much better Craig's List would be if it charged for listings. I agree - free is just a myth. It doesn't always make everything better.

Personal Stuff

• I'll be speaking at Vanderbilt in November as part of their Collegiate Leadership Vanderbilt's speaker series. I'll be discussing the idea of leadership as it related to community change with 60 students. This is part of The Office of Leadership Development and Intercultural Affairs.
• I also finalized a workshop I'll be leading for the Mid-South American Humanics Collaborative in Memphis in November. We'll be chatting about different generations in the nonprofit workplace, as well as how nonprofits can best reach the emerging leaders out there.
• My guest post, "Dream Big Dreams, Take Small Steps," is up at Richard Dedor's site.
• I've signed up on Yelp and plan to become very active. As much as I love visiting local joints both in Nashville and everywhere else, I figured I had something to say.
• Tomorrow, I'll be at Ikea.
