“The height of my success is directly related to the depth of my community.”

Sam Davidson has a passion for taking ideas and turning them into reality. As such, entrepreneurship has been a perfect career fit for him, a journey he began over 15 years ago. He is currently the CEO of Batch, a company he co-founded in 2013.

But one thing has been at the root of any of his accomplishments: community.

In 2006, Sam co-founded Cool People Care, which connected people online (in a world before Twitter and Instagram) who wanted to make a difference with nonprofit organizations who badly needed new members, volunteers, donors, and supporters. In 2009, Cool People Care was named a “Top 10 social network for generation Y” by Mashable. Now, Cool People Care has grown a loyal following and leveraged its brand and reach to provide a line of inspirational merchandise that raises money and awareness for the world most important causes. With over 20 designs, Cool People Care makes a donation to a cause linked with each shirt it sells. You can find their line of apparel in select stores, as well as directly on its website. To date, Cool People Care has donated over $125,000 to some of the most important causes of the world.

More recently, in 2013, Davidson co-founded Batch, a gift company whose unique offerings allows customers and companies to experience a taste of iconic cities. Overseeing the company’s rapid and strategic growth as CEO, Davidson helped Batch cross the $1 million annual revenue mark in less than two years while raising outside investment capital. Top-line revenue and bottom-line profit have grown annually, while helping support the small businesses of over 500 entrepreneurs and small businesses nation-wide. Batch is headquartered in Nashville, and offers gifts from all across America. He is also a co-founder of The Small Business Pledge

At Batch, Sam has twice been named a "Most Admired CEO" by the Nashville Business Journal, and the company has been featured in local and national media. In 2022, Batch joined forces with Perfect Balance Investments to further accelerate its growth and impact for small businesses nationwide.

These experiences inform Sam’s work (when he’s not starting a new company) related to community and leadership. Hearing the stories of other entrepreneurs - and living the entrepreneurial story himself - he has a keen insight into what it takes to generate an idea and then bring it to reality while building a community to make it happen better and faster. He has a deep passion to see small businesses succeed and wants to help small business owners make the most of their leadership journey in the context of community. His regular writing and weekly email are just some ways he does this.

Davidson has been quoted and featured in media outlets ranging from USA Today, NPR, Inc. and Southern Living, among others. He frequently speaks to audiences ranging from large corporate conferences to college events, sharing his messages related to community and leadership in an effort to help his audiences understand what it takes to live a meaningful life. He lives in Nashville, TN, spending as much free time as possible with his family.
