If you fall in a pit, there are two ways to get out:
one strong person pulls you up by one strong rope
ten regular people pull you up by ten regular ropes, banded together
Both get you out of the pit. And different circumstances may determine which method you have available.
But each requires that you do the work of building community before you find yourself at the bottom.
