Day 2 in Philadelphia

The rains came, so we planned to spend most of the day indoors. While the cozy confines of our Residence Inn room were tempting, we decided to venture out and hit as many museums as possible.

After hopping on the Phlash (what a bargain - just $1 a ride!) we arrived at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We could have spent the whole day there. As I walked through the large rooms, I felt like I was watching the entire course of human history unfold before my eyes. With exhibits from Asia, Europe, Pennsylvania, and nearly everywhere else, the museum is something I think everyone should experience in their lifetime. Go.

Then we headed back to the Old City and saw Christ Church, The Fireman's Museum, The Historic Quaker Meeting House, Ben Franklin's Grave, the African American Museum, and ate some delicious Cuban food at Cuba Libre.

The rain looks to have passed, so we'll see what the evening holds. Here's some pictures for those of you who like that sort of thing:
