If you're taking a picture while you're doing it, you're not doing it right.
If you have the wherewithal, the time, and the capability to snap a photograph or a selfie, then you're not enjoying the moment, the place, or the experience to its fullest potential.
Think about the times you were 100% elated, in the zone, or soaking in every second of what you were doing. You were focused, given over to the occasion, and immersed in enjoyment or pleasure at the thing you were experiencing.
In order to take a picture, you have to come out of that 100% moment enough to tell yourself to grab your phone, point, and tap.
Births, late night conversations, impromptu ice cream meetings, dancing - there are countless moments that don't require photographing to enjoy them fully. In fact, the opposite is true.
I'm coming to the realization that the best memories don't come with photographic evidence.
