Faults and Problems

Check out what David Coleman, President of the College Board (who announced an overhaul of the SAT recently), said recently about testing and inequality:

It is time for the College Board to say in a clearer voice that the culture and practice of costly test preparation that has arisen around admissions exams drives the perception of inequality and injustice in our country,” Mr. Coleman said Wednesday. “It may not be our fault, but it is our problem.

"It may not be our fault, but it is our problem."

Leadership looks past blame (finding fault) and dives into problem solving. While someone else is busy pointing fingers, leadership gets to work fixing what's wrong.

When you find yourself trying to assign blame, stop. There will be time for that once you've done the work required to make it right.
