Grit and Glitz

Uh oh. Some 40 percent of people in entrepreneurial businesses report working 16 hours a day.

So you can be your own boss, but sometimes that boss will make you stay late, come in early, and do what you don't want to do.

Getting over this takes grit. Resiliency is important for the entrepreneur as he or she must stay the course despite the "no" answers they get when pitching, the losing of business to competition, the complaining of customers, or the delay in launching the idea.

Grit is also the only pathway I've seen that gets you to the glitz and glamour of entrepreneurship, too. One day that boss who's a jerk now - you - will be able to ease up on you as business gets better and staff is added.

Want glitz and glamour? Get grit.
