My friend Kate has a very meaningful and compelling post about the meaning of life (and death). The story she tells of Rachel Corrie is important, as is this quote:
I thanked her for attaching meaning to her death. The ultimate success, I think, is to conquer the living of life so well that even in one's death there retains meaning, hope, and political agitation.
A lot of times, people ask: What would you die for?
The better question is: What would you live for?
Answering the latter will answer the former.
