Never More Than a Step Away

The dark underbelly of success is that when you achieve it, you may forget what the time was like before it arrived. Some call this "forgetting where you came from."

The best decision you can make, then, as you set out on your course, is to resolve to never forget. Capture this moment of pre-success so that when you are on the other side you can help others cross than transom, knowing the feeling of wanting and trying and working and hoping.

This also matters because the journey to success can go in reverse. The pathway up also goes back down.

You're never more than a step away from success. Or back down again, lest you forget.
