I love the headline of this article: Dreams Don't Start On Stage.
What a great reminder.
Dreams begin in our hearts. In our bedrooms. In garages, cubicles, and coffee shops. They start in our heads in cars on long drives, while flying somewhere, or during a jog. Dreams begin where we least expect it.
Except for out in the open, in public, to lots of applause or acclaim.
If you're dreaming of being on stage, know that you can work hard to get there. That's the destination, not the beginning.
(Need more proof? Here are actual rejection letters to people who went on to become very famous.)
