It’s not what you want; it’s who you’re with

Your intentions don’t matter as much as your surroundings.

You can intend to kick a habit, improve a skill, change a job, write a book, or start a company. But if you’re not surrounding yourself with a community who makes that easier for you, your intentions are merely wishful thinking.

Those who are successful - who accomplish goals and dreams - are those who don’t only intend to make a change but those who also surround themselves with a community to be their strength when they are weak, their sounding board when they are stuck, and their compass when they are lost.

Go ahead and make big plans. That’s still Step 1. Just make sure surrounding yourself with deep community is Step 2.
