In the early stages of a deep community, leaders should put focus on work ethic before work execution.
Make sure your community believes in core values and principles first: hard work, trust, empathy, sound fundamentals, charity, hustle, self-improvement, etc.
Then you can turn your eyes toward execution and results. Then you can keep score, measure progress, set and track big goals, and grow ROI or margin.
If the output is off, adjust the input. Don’t yell at the machine.
