In nearly every situation, we can do things one better.
Instead of texting to ask how a friend is doing, we could call.
Instead of sending a congratulatory card, we could also cook a meal to deliver.
Instead of organizing the dance, we could also use it as a fundraiser.
And on it goes. One of the marks of personal and communal leadership isn't oneupmanship, it's onebettermanship.
Don't look at any task and ask, "How can I do this?" Ask instead, "How can I do this better?"
