Many times, we want someone to tell us how long something will take. This is a nice feature of Google Maps or the amusement park line for the roller coaster.
But often times, when it comes to breakthroughs and success, we don't get a timeline. We're not told the years needed to work and work and try and fail and try until we get it.
Recently, for the first time in 35 years, a new mammal was discovered. Three and a half decades spent searching and giving up and then deciding to look again until one day - poof! - there it is.
Don't give up. You're nearly there, I bet.
