History over headlines

Make history, not headlines.

Shallow community does whatever is necessary to get attention in the moment. They’re loud, controversial, arrogant, and flagrant. They find what moves newspapers and try to dominate those headlines.

Deep community does whatever is necessary to improve things for good. They’re thoughtful, deliberate, inclusive, and meaningful. They find what moves hearts and try to appeal to those better instincts.

Some - very rarely - make headlines while making history. But in those instances, their focus was on the legacy of history and not the popularity of headlines.

And history, not headlines, cement a legacy.

The Tennessee Three are standing on the right side of history.

Don’t look back (we’re not going there)
