I like this sentiment from Seth Godin, the idea that any team or company should take a day just to create something unbelievable.
Of course, you don't only have to set aside one day to be great. You also don't only have to focus on excellence.
What if you dedicated one day each month (either for your team or yourself) to be:
- Happy
- Surprised
- Stretched
- Challenged
- Quiet
- Entertained
- Charitable
I bet our calendars would look a lot different. And I bet our focus would be a lot pointed. And if those two things could shift, I think our work could be even better than before.
